Are you wondering if AC Infinity lights are worth the investment for your indoor garden? I have analyzed the specs and buyer feedback for these two boards to help you decide. While both share high-end Samsung LM301H diodes, they serve very different scales. I believe the distinction between these two comes down to your grow space and intensity needs. Let us compare these to see which one earns the top rank.
1. AC Infinity IONBOARD S22, LED Grow Light Board 2×2 with Dimming Control | Full-Spectrum Lighting with Samsung LM301H Diodes, Deeper Penetration for Veg Bloom Indoor Plants in Grow Tents Greenhouses
The IONBOARD S22 claims the top spot because of its efficient footprint and perfect scaling for smaller setups. It hits that sweet spot where you get professional-grade spectrum without overcrowding your tent, making it the most sensible choice for most hobbyists I have researched.
I find the dimming control on this unit particularly useful for managing growth stages. My assessment is that it provides enough punch to keep plants happy in a 2×2 area, acting like a sunbeam contained within your own room. The only minor drawback is that you will need to manually adjust the intensity since it lacks the advanced scheduling found in their higher-tier controllers.
Buyers appreciate how cool the unit runs even during extended hours.
The light distribution is frequently cited as being remarkably even for its size.
Most feedback suggests it is a reliable workhorse for small-scale cultivation.

2. AC Infinity IONBOARD S44, LED Grow Light Board 4×4 with Dimming Control | Full-Spectrum Lighting with Samsung LM301H Diodes, Deeper Penetration for Veg Bloom Indoor Plants in Grow Tents Greenhouses
The IONBOARD S44 is best for the serious grower who manages a larger 4×4 canopy and needs consistent, high-output performance. If you are scaling up your production, this board delivers the spread you need to ensure no plant is left in the shadows.
In my view, this light is a powerhouse, though its larger size means it is not meant for tight corners. It uses the same high-quality Samsung diodes as the smaller version, ensuring your plants receive high-quality light across a wider surface. Just keep in mind that its physical footprint is quite substantial, so you should measure your tent clearance before committing to this model.
Users often report that the brightness is impressive for its power draw.
The build quality is frequently described as robust and simple to hang.
Some buyers note that the power cord length could be more generous for tall tents.

Choosing Between Them
I recommend the IONBOARD S22 as my top pick because its compact footprint is simply more versatile for the average home gardener. It provides excellent light intensity for a 2×2 space, whereas the IONBOARD S44 is a specialized tool built specifically for those managing larger, high-yield 4×4 tents.
While both lights provide impressive full-spectrum output, remember that these standard models do not include the complex app integration offered by the Pro series. If you prioritize simplicity and manual control, these lights are excellent, but those who want smart-home automation may feel limited by the lack of advanced digital scheduling.
